It’s all about sunshine, summer clothes or should I say the desire to wear no clothes at all and music festivals. I love it! It seemed so impossible just some weeks ago, I’ll even ignore the fact that I’m sweating like I’m in a sauna.
And because we didn’t have the chance to roll in mud at Glastonbury or Electric Castle, although we would have loved to, we had to find other ways to get a bit of festival feeling.
It’s London so there’s a lot of things you can do. You are absolutely right, however when you are on a very tight budget, things get a bit tricky and you have to get creative. The first step, find cheap or free things to do. Then again, although I am a strong believer that the best things are for free , sometimes free is not so amazing.
Oh, you’re right, we’re in London and apparently even the free things you can get are posh.
British Summertime Festival from Hyde Park gave us just enough good vibes and summer feeling to forget just a bit that we are so far away from home and that probably this year we won’t make it to any big music festivals.
As I said in a previous post, one thing London is good at are parks and it’s amazing that those parks can be used for events like this, where you can escape, relax, have fun and enjoy some live music and forget for a few hours that you are in the middle of one of Earth’s busiest cities.
I hope you guys are having a fun summer wherever you are.
All you need is love and a cat!
