Just kidding, you don’t have to go home, but maybe I’ll make you go to the nearest shopping mall and buy a maxi skirt/dress.
This post contains a lot of pink hair, roses and a maxi dress
Summer’s knocking at our door (although if you’re living in London, I’ll understand why you might doubt that) and we can put aside our oversized sweaters and winter jackets and finally show some skin.
One of my all time summer favorites is always going to be the maxi dress. Finding the right one can be a pain in the ass, but once you do it, I can assure you that you are saved from every „I don’t know what to wear today” situation.
What I love about the maxi dress is that you don’t need a lot of extra things on the side to make it look good.
Grocery shopping? Put on a black maxi, some trainers or flats, a hobo bag, hat( optional ) and you’re ready to go.
Fancy diner? No problem, just replace the trainers with heels, a red lipstick will add a bit of sophistication, grab your clutch and get ready to take over those busy streets like they’re your catwalk.
Beside the fact that it’s so versatile you can throw in the comfort factor as well. I, personally would pick the maxi over a mini skirt any time, you don’t have to be careful about the way you sit on a chair, you don’t have to worry about not having „those perfect legs” aaand you’re safe from showing too much when the weather is windy.
Oh! And by the way, I don’t want you saying ” You can only wear a maxi if you’re tall”. It’s just about finding the right shape, well, for your shape.
As for me, I’m still in search of the perfect maxi, but in the meantime I’m having more and more fun playing photographer.
Jess was my model again and we had a great time taking these pictures around Regent’s Park (the place looks gorgeous).
